The Company

Airlie Pointe was born from a shared dream between 2 friends who share a passion for high end boating. After years of working in the charter industry in southeast North Carolina, there seemed to be an untapped niche in the market. Fishing, diving, cruising and overnight charters are all out there, but nobody was offering them all on a high end, comfortable and versatile yacht.

The idea was simple. Share our lifetime of on the water knowledge with the world. Boating has a mystique that has drawn people to the water since the beginning of time but can be intimidating without a level of comfort that is only gained through years of experience.

Our passion is not only enjoying every aspect of our pristine marine environment, it’s doing it with our clients through down to earth, authentic and professional service. We’re not salty and crude nor are we flashy and pretentious. What sets us apart is we do this because we love it and treasure the opportunity to share the inner fulfillment this way of life has given us with our clients.

Whether you’re wanting to dip your toes in to the yachting lifestyle or want the vacation of your dreams, let us treat you to a truly unforgettable experience.

The Captain

Tyler Barrack was born in a small town at the mouth of the Rappahannock River on the Chesapeake Bay. Boating has been a passion of his since childhood. He owned his first boat at age 10 and has been on the water ever since.

Fishing, crabbing, oystering and water sports were a part of daily life all through his teens.

After college, Tyler’s thirst for adventure landed him in Haines Alaska where he spent 7 years commercial fishing for salmon and halibut.

While the beauty of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking, the call of the Atlantic with its sandy beaches and warm water eventually drew Tyler back home. For the last six years Tyler has been a charter captain in Wrightsville Beach. Southeast North Carolina has been the perfect combination of sounds, bays and intracoastal waterway channels so reminiscent of the Chesapeake Bay along with the opportunity for adventure only close proximity to the ocean can offer.

A 50 ton USCG Captain, Tyler is married with two small boys and spends his whole life on and around the water. He is dedicated to sharing his love of boating with not only his family but the world.
